EGO8 NEW COLOURS!

Hot off the presses - Planet Elipse also releases the Ego 8 in hot colours (to sell more Ego8s before the 9 comes out). And at a cheaper price too.

Love love the green/lime green one.

White Sticker on Thomas Taylor's Ego

I see pictures of my TT Ego everywhere in magazines and online etc and I've been wondering what the hell is that white thing on the feed neck. ( I don't keep my marker with me in Singapore- its stored with Azlan in KL)

Well over the weekend I found out that its a "Warning - Do Not Remove This Sticker" sticker.

TRUE LIES & VARIOUS PICS FROM NEO

Sweet tits!! Is that a new custom gun LB??

Alex Fraige pimpin' here by going old skool with the big ear piece.

After giving his RAZA headband to me- Todd Martinez to resort to using a hair net.

Luxe: Knock knock
Angel: Who's there?
Luxe: Luxe
Angel:Luxe who?
Angel Fragoza's Luxe talking shit to him.

Todd and Davey beat up Austin Powers for this and are on the look out for X-Zibit to come and pimp their 'low rida'.

Mike Paxon here with a Pinokio. Ironmen do not have a hopper contract- so they use whatever they want. Ollie has been spotted using the NXe JRNYs.

Have you ever seen a yellow Luxe? Well here you go.

Err Paint check?!?!

Dave isn't paying Nicky enough...

Hey its Johnny Knoxville! AKA Josh Davey of Edmonton Impact.

Bart couldn't quite convince Josh Davey that he wasn't fit to play.

For a moment here I thought Jon Richardson decided to get curls done but its not really Infamous here.

Keeley sweety *sigh*

Nice Jersey Americans!. You've got a winner Allan Phang

Hawt jersey

Naughty Dogs - new ND shocker and new Jersey. (the old digi camo ones is nicer)

PSP NEO RESULTS - DYNASTY WINS- AGAIN

Well it looks like Dynasty's little trip to Singapore and Desaru did them wonders as they took their second XBall win of the year after winning at MAO. Dynasty takes over the Ironmen at the top spot by a mere 5 points. Boston who finished 3rd holds down 3rd place and are still within striking distance of the top 2. It’ll all go down at the World Cup – echos of “Win world Cup” are starting to resound.

Philly boys were a surprise finalist but they got hammered 7-3 in the finals.
The Ironmen did make it into the final four being the only team of my picks to make it into the final four but they lost to the Russians for 3rd place. I did pick the Russians as my dark hourse and they took 3rd place

Thomas Taylor's Pink Ego

Ladies and gentlemen (actually how many of you readers are women??) this is the PINK ego that TT was supposed to use at NEO because I took his Red Ego off his hands...

He's selling the Ego8 AND the XSV loader for USD$900 - *arghs* that's friggin cheap!

I WIN- WCA will be in KL

The poll as spoken with almost 80% of the votes in my poll going for KL and I was right on the money- the WCA will be moved to KL where it logically, logistically and, rightfully should be.

Paul- you can use this poster I've already edited it for you.

Those who didn't beleive me can kiss my ass at WCA I'll be hanging around... buying Maximus' Angel :)

Ok Lets talk about venues. Might as well talk about it since 'you-know-who' reads my blog and before we all end up up in some 'ulu di belakang longkang' place. Lets throw up some suggestions.

Last year's venue at PJ state was good- because it was near enough to the train station, the hotels and food etc and the players tent was on hard ground. Being on hard ground is a big plus because it rained and the fields were muddy.

I'm hoping it wont end up like WCA 06 at Bukit Jalil when it rained and there was mus every friggin where.

Since we've had the pleasure of playing in 3 stadium venues (2 MPOC and 1 Asian Invitational) this year - I wouldn't mind playing in another stadium. However the stadiums in KL tend to be out of the city area except for Stadium Merdeka.

I like the idea of playing at Dataran Merdeka where everyone can some and watch the games - it'll def be a high profile tournament. Just that I think they will be reluctant to let us cut up their field - again. The only problem will be toilets and etc which has to be the "popular" porta loos.

I say lets just book a ball room somewhere or the KL convention center - put turf on and play in air con comfort. GUARANTEED NO RAIN NO MUD AND CAN PLAY TILL LATE AT NIGHT! I'm sure all teams would love to rock up at 9/10am and play till whenever we finish rather than having to get up at 6am etc.

RED SEVENS MOVE UP TO BE AMONG TOP 10 TEAMS IN DIV3

Despite not plying on Sunday- we picked up some points to move up into the Top 10 of the MPOC Division 3 rankings. I'll take whatever that's thrown my way- top 10 out of 42 teams is pretty good in my books.

RED SEVENS IN DYE

My second link to Dye this week- this time its Dye Asia putting up our team logo recognising the Red Sevens as one of Dye's Sponsored teams along with Ku from Japan and Victorious from Australia.

Congratulations Red Sevens and thanks to BBen on working on the sponsorship.

Red Sevens Double X Game plan

Every one played either the snake or the doritos all day until we put Azlan and Big Ben in the 50 X. The game plan was thought up by Azlan and Ben and it was simple - both of them break for the 50 and shoot their forwards out. Small Ben and Ryan were going to cover the dorito side and Lydia was going into the hammer and snake side to distract them.

Once the two forwards get into the X - they have to shoot out the forwards as fast as possible stop anyone from getting into the snake. As soon as you get in the X you have so many firing solutions on all the back bunkers and the hammer.

SBen shot out their hammer from the back right and he played on and they pulled a 1 for 1 on them.

Even though Lydia got into the Hammer and was pinned down- she managed to fire back up on her cross to pin their back left down so BBen could wrap him on the outside.

I also had a plan B which was incase they came up to bunker BBen and Azlan in the X- then Ryan and SBen on the left side would get up and run and shoot that guy out. And continue down the field.

I think I have seen only 1 other team using this game plan and won their game. The rest pretty much didnt use the X as effectively as us.

It was a highly entertaining 1 min 45 sec though.

Weekend of contrition

For the first time the Red Sevens didn't qualify for Sunday. We had a lot of bad luck- we lost games we should have won and we drew a game that we should have won. Reffing was so so and slow and a few new refs didn't make the call as they should have.

We just missed the cut by one place finishing 17th 16 teams go through. But looking at the rankings- we have moved up into the top 10. If we won just one more game we would have qualified for Sunday and gone further up the rankings.

We played well in some of the games- just couldn't score the win.

We can be proud of the fact that we managed to beat the eventual D3 winners in the D'Mercy Kids. It was not the first time we beat the eventual winners- in MPOC1 we trashed the Johore pirates 5-0 and they went on to win D3. This shows that we can beat the best teams around- just that we also need to beat the other teams. I wouldn't say that we played badly- just that every other team has upped their game. Everyone is good in D3 now- its tight in the top 10- top 15 teams.

The other thing that I take great satisfaction was our game against Legionaries in which we played our Double X attack and beat them in 1min 40 secs. What happen after that was a string of teams trying the same attach but not as successful as ours. A lot of people don't know what to do once they reach the X in the middle. I will post our game plan in the next post.

The two new Egos shot really well all day. Ryan played with my TT ego and he said he loved it "it shoots straight and pretty much pick guys off". I think Ryan has established himself as a good shooter from the back corner. Big Ben also shot Jane's Ego and was impressed by the speed an accuracy.

My team MVP is Jane who played a brilliant game and was the last person alive vs their 4 and she killed 3 guys before narrowlly losing out to their last guy.

We have a lot of positives to bring to the last leg and hopefully that bit of luck will turn around too.

On another note I would like to thank the Spectre boys and congratulate them for winning D2. I managed to crew in 2 games and the last one was their final game. They beating Killer Beez game be a chance to experience what it's like to win. It was really great to a a little part of their first win and help them out a bit.

I also crewed for the X-menz in their final D1 game and I went 2-0 in crewing for final teams.

I in Dye

I was just thinking yesterday that I really should shave before every tournament because I'm going to be photographed a lot.
I certainly didn't expect to appear on Dye's Website.

I SURVIVED GOMBAK

I got back at about 33am last night. Had to walk across the causeway with my regular PB traveling buddy Jon. BTW Job I have your pack of Malboros.

This will be a short one as I am at work.

I will post the results of MPOC4 up with a bit of write up. Big big congratulations to the Spectre boys.

PSP4 apparently was a washout due to a big storm. Will get back to you on that.

My deep sources have it that the World Cup Asia will be in KL.

Ollie Lang, Nicky Cuba and Brandon Short will be in Bangkok for a clinic before PALS1.

Picked up 2 new jerseys and 2 new JT mask set up.

LIMITED EDITION DM8s

Some might say that these are really nice "limited edition" HOT PINK AND SEXY CHOCOLATE BROWN coloured DM8s- but me reading between the lines...it's Dye's way of tying to get rid of as many DM8s as possible because the new DM9s would be out in a couple of months.

If you go to that website - they're even throwing in dead stock Trauma jerseys.

HERE WE GO - MPOC4 GOMBAK

OK I'm leaving for KL right after this post.

I want to wish all those who are driving to KL a safe journey. Practice safe driving- wear a rubber if you have to before you get behind that wheel.

Can't wait to see you all and shoot some of you with TT's gun :P

If you're a regular reader of the blog - do drop by the Red Seven's tent and say hi.
I was going to give out some stickers from NPPL but I left them at home- sorry!

The team will be crashing at Isi Rimba - well at least there is a PB field there so we can go and shoot something if we get bored.

Back on Sunday night - hopefully will be able pick up on some action on the net on the PSP NEO on Sunday night and will have some results to post up by Monday morning.

PSP NEO PREVIEW

The official Pick'em board stats for NEO.

The predictions from PB Pick'em - everyone is picking Ironmen to win- My predicted stats in Pick 'em have Infamous and Ironmen in the final with Infamous FTW

I wish PSP would smarten up and put their games online like NPPL Live- even if they did charge $10 per weekend I'd pay for it. X-Ball would be hell to watch. I love watching NPPL live but X-Ball would be that bit more entertaining online.

Looking at the team Rankings- Ironmen are sitting pretty up top with . If they score some big points and finish top 4 I think they could wrap up the NXL along with their NPPL title which they wrapped up a couple of weeks ago.

Infamous are still in but need to close the gap eith a top 4 finish this weekend for any chance to catch Ollie and the gang. Infmaous has got a damn god line up- they have big and small players- a blend of youth and experience and with a great anchor in LB Fow and Jon Richardson at the back. They won in chicago with only 8 guys- with a full line up this time I think I hope they will go all the way FTW.

Dynasty are getting better in X-Ball - once they do get into their groove they can take points away from the top teams. They being Dynasty are the team to beat in any game and we have seen teams like X-Factor come and beat them.

Im waiting to see if Tampa Bay's win was a flash in the pan. But I think the other teams will be trying to wrap up whatever points there is left in the last 2 legs on their year's tour. X-Factor and Impact should bring their A games and make things interesting.

As I have mentioned Avalanche has given up and not being able to come up with the marbles- couldnt pay their entry fees for this tournament. Looks like they might lose their pro spot next year. This will open the door for Joy to step back in- althought their sport is supposedly rented out to Tampa Bay.

My predictions for the weekend. Infamous Impact X-Factor and Ironmen to go final four.

Im hoping the russians who train only for X-Ball will somehow get their game together. And not forgetting Aftermath.

Speaking of Aftermath- looking at their line up- you'd notice that its a combination of players for teams like XSV, NE Hurricanes etc who dont play XBall. Rich Telford is in the coaching staff and they also have stars like LaSoya, Thomas Taylor, Billy Bernacchia, Thomas Mantoni and the talented Alex Goldman. If anything this is an "All Star Team" by default. I'm picking Aftermath as my dark hourse. I think they could go all the away if things get together on Sunday - they have done it before and I have no doubt they can do it again.

See you all on Sunday night.

Chat will be up seburo55@hotmail.com

PSP NXL 4 NORTH EAST OPEN PREVIEW

Here we go into Round 4. My coverage of the NEO will not be as extensive as NPPL because there is no live broadcast of the event and I will be away in KL from Thursday night onwards for MPOC4.

PSP NXL Round 4 North East Open will be held at the All American Paintball Park in Greensburg, PA August 14th-17th.

As what I heard from the Pros at NPPL Asian Invitational- Avalanche will not make it to PSP4 thus there is a round of BYE's in the prelim games- that is Avalanche's spot.
Alavanche couldn't make it because they couldn't raise the entry fee (see below for how much it is)
