It is interesting to note that in another upcoming tournament, the first second and third prizes offer Proto Matrix Rails which are decent markers.
But the PMRs would be redundant, since the tournament is open to emarkers and therefore the people most likely to win these prizes would be already shooting Ego9s and DM9s.
Perhaps another rethink?

I suppose it is easier on the prize sponsors to give products as part of the prizes instead of cash right now, taking into account the current economic situation.
I spoke to some of the people who are participating with their own Ego and DMs- they all say they're going to sell the marker back to the organiser.
A better case to just save the hassle and offer cash? OR cases of paint?
